This training is designed to help project managers overcome the challenges they face in delivering on-time, on-budget results. Participants will learn project management fundamentals course to enable them to expertly manage projects and integrate them into organizations.
Project planning begins with a statement of work that defines what the project is about and why it is being undertaken. It includes a high-level description of the work that needs to be done. It also includes the deliverables expected at the end of each phase, the resources required, and any constraints. The process of developing this statement is called scoping.
The project schedule defines when tasks will start and finish, how long they will take. It also indicates which activities are dependent on others. It is often expressed as a Gantt chart or as a network diagram showing dependencies among tasks. Nodes represent activities, arrows indicate relationships between activities (start to start or finish to finish), and bars show durations.
Cost estimates are made during scoping. However, these estimates are often wrong because they are based upon incomplete information about requirements and resource availability. As such, cost control requires ongoing monitoring of actual costs against budgeted amounts for each activity
